Taiwan-based Jumbo Technology Co Ltd, a specialist supplier of gaming machines and gaming floor management systems, says it expects to launch its newest progressive jackpot link product in the third quarter of 2019. The new product – dubbed “Bao Ni Fa” – was on display at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2019, a casino industry trade show and conference at the Venetian Macao resort in Macau. “We are having a very good feedback over this product and a lot of interaction with potential customers during the show,” said on Wednesday Allen Hsu, Jumbo’s vice president for business development, in an interview with GGRAsia.
“We are hoping to launch it to the market in the third quarter this year,” stated Mr Hsu. “We are in the process of getting the product certified and acquiring the necessary approvals for different regions.” The executive said Jumbo planned to introduce the Bao Ni Fa link in a number of jurisdictions across Asia. “Macau is one of the main markets, but we are also looking at the Philippines, Cambodia, and South Korea,” he stated. Bao Ni Fa is a progressive linked jackpot offering two different Asian-themed base games, “Power Dragon” and “Power Mask”. It will be available on Jumbo’s latest D-27 cabinet, featuring dual 27-inch high-definition displays, according to information from the company.
“The dual screen continues to be the trend in Asia,” Mr Hsu noted. “In other markets, bigger and curved screens are becoming popular, but here in Asia – according to our research – the dual screen is still the most popular feature.” At this year’s G2E Asia, Jumbo also displayed its “Cai Shen Fishing” game, a multi-player game “with live broadcast and rankings” displaying the top-five highest-scoring players. The product has been certified by gaming equipment testing service Gaming Laboratories International LLC (GLI), according to Jumbo.
“Cai Shen Fishing is really unique. It includes a slot accounting system [SAS] protocol and can connect with any casino management system,” said Mr Hsu. “This product is having a really positive feedback in Cambodia. We also have the product in the Philippines, and hopefully we’re going to install it in other markets.” The Jumbo executive said additionally that the company was “very confident” about this year’s business performance in Macau. “We are also very confident about our prospects in the Philippines and Cambodia, but we continue to approach new markets, such as South Korea and Vietnam,” added Mr Hsu.
